Your reputation is everything and in the digital age where news and information travels fast and far, we believe having a robust and positive brand image is an absolute must. Does your brand represent your organisations personality, ethos and culture, does it convey a movement that people want to be part of, aspire to or be influenced by?
When organisations look at their brand and messages, too often the thinking is around what they want to say about themselves. We believe however, that your proposition should really be based around what your customers are looking for and why your product and service is different or unique.
Buying decisions are often based on emotion, it’s how our brain works. So to create the right brand requires both a scientific approach, based on data and research and an artistic one, creating something your audience thinks is beautiful and aspirational. We work hard to ensure the message and visual elements of your brand are just right, allowing you to be positioned successfully against your larger, better resourced competitors.
Every project starts with a brief, unpacking who you are, your culture, personalty and the audience that you want to influence. Once we have an understanding of the DNA of your organisation, we then get to work. Creative stuff, using old fashioned pencils and paper combined with more digital techniques, collating ideas, visual catalysts and typography, inspiration comes in many different forms.
We pull together a number of concepts initially, keen to get your feedback before the idea becomes too developed. We then progress the chosen concepts through to a finished state showing how your brand could be applied and used in different applications online and offline.
Kacper of Parrot Creative was recommended to us as the person to help us revitalise our website. After listening to our needs, concerns and limited computer skills he did further independent research into the character and location of the buildings. He then made good suggestions as to how we could move forward. Kacper suggested ideas new to us and his patient approach has given us the confidence to further our use of "digital tourism". After updating the site for us, he continues to provide technical support. He works in a business like manor, promptly responding to questions and requests for help.
The committee have been impressed with his excellent approach and his commitment to tasks and would have no hesitation in recommending him and his work.
Kacper has created 2 websites for me that are just great for my needs. He is professional and has been extremely helpful and patient with me. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone. Thank you very much for all your help.
When working with Kacper at Parrot Creative, this is what we got: Speed-of-light service. Seemingly limitless knowledge. A polished and streamlined web page that is easy to use and looks great. Fun, helpful and practical training. Enthusiastic (!!!) personnel. Reasonable price - as with most, we are budget-conscious and controlled. Patience with our many questions, and quick answers, too. People who listen carefully to what we say.
The end result far exceeded my expectations, Kacper was easy to communicate with every step of the way. All of our requests were handled professionally and in a timely manner. His creative input was also pleasantly surprising - coming up with new and fresh ideas that stood out! I would definitely recommend Parrot Creative, especially if you are looking for a reasonably priced and efficient web design agency that get the job done.
Some clients come to us with a brief, some without, either way the first step is meeting to scope out the project and working out what you need and what you want your project to achieve.
We start by researching the market, understanding your audience and looking at the best approach for positioning your business. We follow this up with visual sitemaps and wireframes.
Once we've agreed the wireframes the designers get stuck in creating concepts and mockups of your site. We often get a photographer and brand designer involved at this stage too.
Once the design stage is signed off we go to build, we pull together copy, images and code into a fully working website that then goes through a strict and technical internal snagging process.
Once the site is built we ask you for your feedback and we prepare the site for going live. We go through a detailed procedure to ensure a smooth transition, especially if you already have a website.
We'll train your team, so they'll be able to access and update your site, with the correct permissions and publishing rights and we'll back you up all the way until you're 100% happy.
Most of our websites are built using WordPress, the world's most popular Content Management System (CMS). WordPress allows you to create, edit and delete pages, posts, products and any other content from a single dashboard.
When the website is built, you and your admins will be fully trained to manage your WordPress website. Additionally, because WordPress is so popular - you're not just limited to us for your development and support needs.
No useless jargon or ongoing fees for content changes. You remain in control of your website, and your costs.
The length of time it takes to build a WordPress website is dependent on the complexity of each individual project. A basic website can take between 3 and 6 weeks, while a more complicated ecommerce website may take between 8 and 12 weeks from start to finish.
Contact us to receive an estimate of how long your project will take.
Our completely bespoke, mobile-friendly and content managed WordPress websites cost in the region of £800 - £2,000, while ecommerce projects typically start at around £1,500, depending on functionality and shop requirements.
We don't charge for small changes to any websites which we have built. Any hourly work you might need on your existing website would be charged at £30 per hour. Contact us to receive an estimate of how much your project will cost.
We usually take an initial 50% deposit before starting a project, then charge 25% after completing the design stage and 25% after completeing the development process (before setting your site live). We won't charge you for minor changes, but should you require any larger out-of-scope amends we will quote for those separately.
